Pattern & Question Types
The GATE AG paper consists of 65 questions (100 marks total) with a 3-hour duration. The questions fall into three categories:
• MCQ: 4 options, 1 correct. Penalty: 1/3 (1-mark) or 2/3 (2-mark).
• MSQ: One or more options can be correct. No negative marking.
• NAT: Numerical answer to be entered using a virtual keypad. No negative marking.
