NTA declared the Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) 2026 and GAT-B 2026 results on June 10, 2026. Final answer keys had been published a day earlier, on June 9. Scorecards are available on the NTA GAT-B/BET portal using application number and date of birth.

BET 2026 was held on May 17, 2026, with admit cards released on May 13. For BET, 15,327 candidates registered and 12,700 actually appeared. The GAT-B score and rank card followed on June 25, 2026.

Candidates who clear BET 2026 are shortlisted under Category-I or Category-II of the DBT-JRF programme. Category-I fellows may take up a PhD at any recognised university or institution in India; Category-II candidates may be appointed in DBT-sponsored projects at NET/GATE-equivalent fellowship.

The DBT Junior Research Fellowship carries Rs 37,000 per month for the first two years from the date the fellowship is activated on enrolment in a PhD programme, subject to the DBT-JRF guidelines and category-wise cut-offs.
