CBSE launched a Computational Thinking and Artificial Intelligence curriculum for Classes III to VIII on April 1, 2026 through Circular Acad-15/2026, effective in all affiliated schools from session 2026-27. It is internally assessed and builds logical reasoning, pattern recognition, algorithmic thinking, digital literacy and ethical use of technology.
CBSE Academics - CT and AI CurriculumCBSE's three-language guidelines of June 29, 2026 confirm that the mandatory third language, R3, applies to the Class VI 2026-27 batch onwards. Students currently in Classes VII, VIII and IX will not face a CBSE board examination in the third language when they reach Class X.
CBSE - Press Release on the Three-Language PolicyClass 7 follows the NCF-SE 2023 aligned NCERT textbooks introduced from 2025-26: Ganita Prakash for Mathematics, Curiosity for Science, Exploring Society for Social Science, Poorvi for English and Malhar for Hindi. Reprint 2026-27 editions are free to download chapter-wise from ncert.nic.in.
NCERT - Ganita Prakash, Class 7 Mathematics, Reprint 2026-27Class 7 is an internal school assessment, not a CBSE board exam, so there is no CBSE date sheet, admit card or board result for it. Assessment is school-based and competency-oriented in line with NCF-SE 2023. CBSE circulars affecting the middle stage are posted at cbseacademic.nic.in.
