CUCET no longer exists under that name. The central-university entrance test is now CUET, conducted by NTA, and its scope has widened beyond central universities to state, deemed and private institutions. CUET (UG) 2026 was held in computer-based mode only, per the official information bulletin.

NTA declared the CUET (UG) 2026 result on 23 June 2026 at cuet.nta.nic.in. The exam ran from 11 to 31 May, with extra sittings on 6 and 7 June 2026, in 321 cities including 13 abroad, covering 37 subjects: 13 languages, 23 domain subjects and the General Aptitude Test.

Scale of the 2026 cycle: 15,68,867 candidates registered for CUET (UG) and 11,64,098 appeared, the highest participation so far and over 15 percent up on 2025. The top female score was 1232.19 and the top male score 1230.82.

On the postgraduate side, NTA declared the CUET (PG) 2026 result together with the final answer key on 24 April 2026 at exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-PG, after the exam ran from 6 to 27 March 2026.

Admission is not centralised. Each participating university runs its own counselling on CUET scores. Delhi University's CSAS UG first seat allotment list is scheduled for 16 July 2026 at 5 pm, with simulated ranks on 12 July and fee payment to follow.
