Updates as of July 11, 2026

GATE 2027 has not been officially notified yet. IIT Madras is expected to be the organising institute, with the notification projected for late July 2026, the GOAPS application window around 24 August to 13 October 2026, and the exam expected on 6, 7, 13 and 14 February 2027. All these dates remain tentative.

KollegeApply — GATE 2027 Notification Update (29 June 2026)

IIT Guwahati declared the GATE 2026 result on 19 March 2026 with paper-wise qualifying marks. Mathematics (MA) closed at 34.7 marks for General, 31.2 for OBC-NCL/EWS and 23.1 for SC/ST/PwD, a demanding cut-off that GATE 2027 MA aspirants should plan to clear comfortably.

GATE 2026, IIT Guwahati — Official Cut-off

No syllabus change has been announced for GATE 2027, so the GATE 2026 MA syllabus remains the working reference. The paper is a three-hour computer-based test of 100 marks with General Aptitude worth 15 marks and 85 marks of Mathematics, using MCQ, MSQ and NAT questions with negative marking only on MCQs.

GATE 2026, IIT Guwahati — Question Paper Pattern

A GATE score stays valid for three years from the announcement of results, so an MA score from GATE 2026, declared on 19 March 2026, remains usable until March 2029 for M.Tech, M.Sc and PhD admissions at IITs, IISc, NITs and other institutes that accept GATE Mathematics scores.

GATE 2026, IIT Guwahati — Official Portal

MA is one of the 30 GATE test papers and the organising institute publishes the authoritative paper list, syllabus and pattern. Until IIT Madras opens the GATE 2027 portal, verify every date, fee and syllabus claim there rather than relying on unofficial listings.
