Updates as of August 13, 2026
GMAC has launched the GMAT Superscore feature (effective 12 August 2026). It automatically combines a candidate’s highest section scores (Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, and Data Insights) across all valid attempts of the current GMAT edition into an additional data point on the Official Score Report. The feature is free, retroactive, and cannot be opted out of when a Superscore exists.
mba.com Support — GMAT Superscore ReportingDo not delay sending scores while waiting for Superscore. The free 48-hour score-sending window is tied to when your Official Score becomes reportable, not the Superscore launch date. Candidates who tested before 12 August 2026 and become eligible for a retroactive Superscore will receive a voucher to resend an updated report (including Superscore) to up to five programs at no extra cost.
mba.com Support — Sending & Reporting SuperscoresSchools receive both the selected single-sitting score and the GMAT Superscore (when available). Acceptance and weighting of the Superscore remain at each school’s discretion; some programs have indicated they will consider it while others continue to emphasise the highest single sitting.
GMAC — GMAT Superscore AnnouncementThe current GMAT (formerly called Focus Edition) remains the only available version: 2 hours 15 minutes, three equally weighted 45-minute sections (Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, Data Insights), Total Score 205–805 (ends in 5), section scores 60–90. No Analytical Writing Assessment, no Sentence Correction, and no Geometry.

GMAC announced the GMAT Superscore concept on 15–16 June 2026. The feature is designed to reduce score anxiety by letting persistence and section-level strengths contribute to a more complete picture of ability. GMAC Official AnnouncementEligibility reminder: Candidates must be at least 18 years old (or 13–17 with parental/guardian consent). There is no upper age limit and no formal educational-qualification barrier imposed by GMAC; individual business schools set their own admission requirements.
