1. Important Dates & Quiz Schedule

The Fit India Quiz is an initiative under the Fit India Movement. It is conducted in multiple stages, starting from an online Preliminary round hosted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

2. Prize Money & Recognition

This quiz offers one of the highest prize pools for school students in India. Prizes are awarded to both the winning students and their respective schools.

National Champions

School Prize: ₹25,00,000 | Student Prize: ₹2,50,000


State Champions also receive significant cash awards ranging from ₹1 Lakh to ₹2.5 Lakh.

3. How to Register: A Guide for Schools

Individual students cannot register directly. The registration must be initiated by the School Head/Principal.

STEP 01: School Registration
The school registers on the official Fit India portal and receives a unique login ID.
STEP 02: Candidate Nomination
The school nominates a minimum of two students to participate. There is no upper limit on the number of students a school can nominate.
STEP 03: Fee Payment
A nominal registration fee (usually ₹100-₹200 per student) is paid by the school online.
STEP 04: Admit Card & Exam
NTA issues admit cards for the Preliminary Round, which is an internet-based test taken from home or school.

4. Syllabus & Exam Pattern

The quiz evaluates a student's awareness of Indian sports, fitness, and nutrition. The syllabus is designed to be inclusive of local and indigenous sports.

  • Indian Sports History: Achievements in Olympics, Commonwealth Games, and Asian Games.
  • Indigenous Games: Knowledge of Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Gilli Danda, etc.
