1. Important Dates & Admission Fees

Admission to LNIPE’s flagship B.P.Ed program is primarily through CUET (UG), followed by institute-level tests.

Application Fees: Paid via the CUET portal (approx. ₹750 - ₹1500 depending on category) plus a secondary registration fee for the Physical Fitness Test at the LNIPE portal (approx. ₹600 - ₹900).

2. Eligibility Requirements

UG Program (B.P.Ed)

Passed 10+2 with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST). Candidates must be under 21 years of age (23 for SC/ST).

PG Program (M.P.Ed)

B.P.Ed. or B.Sc. in Health & Physical Education with at least 50% aggregate. Qualifying CUET-PG is mandatory.

3. Step-by-Step Admission Journey

STEP 01: CUET Application Apply on the NTA CUET portal. Select LNIPE as your preference and choose "Physical Education/National Cadet Corps (NCC)/Yoga" as your domain subject.
STEP 02: Written Examination Appear for the Computer-Based Test (CBT). For B.P.Ed, focus on General Test and Physical Education domain topics.
STEP 03: Physical Fitness Test (PFT) Qualifying candidates must report to Gwalior or Guwahati for the AAPHER Youth Fitness Test. This is mandatory for merit listing.
STEP 04: Medical & Skill Test Undergo a medical examination and demonstrate proficiency in one chosen sport/game as per AIU standards.

4. Physical Fitness Test (PFT) Marks

The merit list is weighted significantly by your physical performance. The AAPHER test includes:

  • 50 Meters Sprint: Assessing speed and acceleration.
  • Standing Broad Jump: Assessing explosive leg power.
  • Over Head Back Throw: Assessing upper body strength.
  • 1000 Meters Run/Walk: Assessing cardiovascular endurance.

5. Preparation Strategy

Academic: Solve previous CUET Physical Education papers. Focus on Anatomy, Physiology, and Sports Training concepts.
Physical: Start conditioning 3 months early. Focus on sprint drills and stamina. Record your timings weekly to track progress against LNIPE conversion tables.
